Curators and conservators showed them around in the treasuries, deposits and conservation ateliers of the Hermitage. Our visit to this exihbition took nearly 3 hours and was enjoyed too by my boyfriend who I thought would be bored stiff! The current one, about the last days of the tsars, is very well put together and offers an in-depth history lesson. Jewels and accessoires will be on display together with costumes and portraits. Glad we had an Iamsterdam card which covers the high entrance fee and we were pleased we went. Went for the Romanov exhibition which is fantastic, the entrance is done as a street with shops selling things of the time, I was amazed that the Romanov's personal belongings had survived and were on display.
