So just wait 1 more day and see if the connection comes back itself. Why should a technician working for the ISP come out to your place and fix your dodgy wiring for free? - I entered username admin and password adminhttps://www.tpg.com.au/support/nbn/setup/modem_support_hfc

I did nothing but the connection came back itself on Monday afternoon. Which plan are you currently on, ADSL2+ or NBN? They called me up on Monday and told that they have "escalated" the issue and a technician will look into it and that their target resolving date for me was 3rd June. All lights on this device are solid.- I checked the label on the back of the modem for my default wifi SSID name and password Check your Wi-Fi light: If it’s off, turn your modem’s Wi-Fi button on.

posted 2009-May-31, 12:24 am AEST That was really tiresome and frustrating....yes I had the exact issue last thursday through to sunday when i finally spoke with level 2 technician, she did all the usual troubleshooting first and then she did something remotely from her end. An example of this is last week Bob runs a new phone line (illegally) to a room in the house, his handyman skills of this are dodgy and after a week the internal wiring has a fit and packs it in, thus a no sync fault is lodged to the ISP.

If they suggest I get a technician shouldn't they be liable to the false call out fee if at anything was wrong 'within my premises'! They did call up around 6:30pm to confirm that my internet was working, which was good but my major's thesis was due today at 2:00 and i spent my last four nights at the university due to their DSL line problems! If the modem is on, the light should flash green. I called up Dodo customer care to report this and after hours of waiting and trying the small things like power cycle, reset and trying of different modem and phone cables, there was still no luck. Power cycle both the set-top box (turn off for 10 seconds and turn back on again, click here for instructions) and modem/router

I rang Tech Support and resolved the issue.

Reset the connection: Turn your modem and devices off and leave them off for 60 seconds. posted 2009-May-31, 4:14 pm AEST Thanks for the early reply, ill be calling over the technician by Monday and see what happens but I still think the clause of customer paying for a technician that DODO recommended is meaningless!

I rang Tech Support and resolved the issue. Hi, the problem was occurring whether connected to wireless or wired/ethernet.- I clicked Start Wizard and changed the wifi name and password back to what I had beforeThanks for reaching out to us. I needed to do a hard reset (factory reset) of the modem  by pushing a pin into the small hole at the back of the modem. If the light stays red for a minute or longer, the modem has a problem.

This goes for wiring behind sockets that has come loose, rats chewing wiring etc.the dsl lights and internet lights are not ment to blink there ment to be a solid green colour, if they were blinking prior to now then the line had a minor fault but was still useableI got told the same thing about $220 for a tech visit, however, i clearly told the tech that since we have done the troubleshooting to acknowledge that the fault does not appear to be exterior from my end it is some internal wiring/exchange issue

Do you have a computer connected thru ethernet? Today afternoon Dodo called me to say that now their target was 7:00pm on 3rd June (i.e.

This light will blink slowly and then rapidly before becoming a solid Green (in most cases, depending on your brand this may be different but 70% of modems operate similarly). Not sure what (sorry am not technically competent) she said something about lowering the ADSL speed from her end.The call out fee is to stop the numerous pointless technician requests ISP's receive from customers. Ensure your modem/router is powered on.

posted 2009-Jun-3, 11:18 pm AEST Although you spend 30 minutes to follow their instruction, it remains no ADSL connection and they just say they can't find the problem, a LV2 technician will call you back within 48 hrs. posted 2009-Jun-1, 1:27 am AEST
