I don't have a Mac to know about settings for lan you would have to call on this one but probably some Google info would help..Ill run the speed test again in the morning, but from experience it will show 70+ mbps. posted 2015-Aug-10, 10:56 am AEST
They fixed it in between but then the issues came back again. The youtube video quality report shows the HD/SD/LD stream percentages over a 24 hour period. LAN port is OK, but wifi will drop to 1mbps after a heavy downloading. posted 2015-Aug-24, 9:15 pm AEST

Quoted directly from Belong's site. posted 2016-Jan-12, 11:14 am AEST
Belong do not provide downtime advisories or info on any work being done at any exchanges so hard to tell. With the providers I tried so far the traffic goes either aapt or iinet and that's where the shape takes place. I think belong is my winner – but it may be a totally different case for you.
The internet product that Belong sells is not the internet product that Telstra sells.Amazing, There has been an massive improvement in my ADSL2+ connection during peak period. My hostname with Belong is CPE-155-143-76-XXX.vic.bigpond.net.au.

Horrid speeds ppl are getting like ADSL2+ speeds on their NBN , and dialup speeds on their ADSL2+ services. Best value for money ISP ever. posted 2015-Aug-20, 12:53 pm AEST
Fantastic opportunity for Belong to make its mark and grow
Telcoinabox, who supply Belongs Network have upgrades planned this week, so fingers crossed it resolves the issues.iinet, tpg both struggle to make a 2 star rating out of 600 odd reviews

Excellent benefits like learning through innovation sprint and generous development allowances - you get to choose your own development path
They are doing some upgrades currently in areas affected and issues with overload should be fixed..

Total outage today was only a few hours, and should be the same when I moved to AusBBS. Today the internet connection went down and there it stays.I've never had this before so I'm wondering if it's the modem not sharing the connection (i think this is what QOS is all about). I am stuck with iinet and jst getting horrible internet speeds so not so much of an option i have already.. alas ! - lots of open bullying and power struggles

They use Telstra's backhaul as their main route but with limited provisioning on bandwidth, you definitely will have speed drops at peak times once or twice every week.
Can I ask a couple of queries:
Extended network areas are typically rural and outer suburbs. posted 2016-Jan-11, 12:30 pm AEST
So belong uses telstra network entirely by the looks. posted 2015-Mar-9, 4:15 am AEST

Today their plans are no longer as competitive and tech support has gone south. Most calls in and causing the massive tech wait times are caused by a WMM issue limiting wifi speeds to 3 Mbps a firmware update either has or will be issued super soon
